Alison Addis

Ali is a 17 year old dressage rider currently based in Karaka, Auckland. Ali finished school last year and has chosen to pursue her riding career. She started competitive riding when she was 11 years old on her Palomino pony club mount, Our Candyman.

Ali found her passion for dressage when her family purchased Whistledown Kristopha, a 14hh chestnut dressage pony. Within their first season together they had won multiple pony titles including dressage pony of the year at HOY 2015.
At the beginning of 2015, Ali bought her first hack, Amillion MVNZ a 17.2hh Dutch Warmblood. During their first season together they began to work up the levels to level 3 in which they won Auckland Level 3 young rider champion. Kris unfortunately missed the 2015/16 season due to a paddock injury. Halfway through the season Ali bought a project pony- Golden Halo RV. Halo proved to be a difficult pony to start but within their first couple of shows he startes to show alot of promise. Halo placed 6th level one dressage pony at HOY and then went on to win Level one pony champion at young riders.

With Whistledown Kristopha back for the 2016/17 season, their second show back was world dressage challenge where they placed second. Kris continued to stack up titles through the season including, Auckland level 4 young rider champion, Central districts young rider champion, and Bates Nationals Level 4 Amateur Champion. Finishing on Dressage pony of the year at HOY.

Ali recently got the ride on Beachbrook Grayson Way, a Clyde X Welsh Pony Stallion that will be competing as part of her team. This coming season Ali's goal is to continue competing Whistledown Kristopha to level 5/6, Amillion MVNZ to level 4, Beachbrook Grayson Way to level 1 and Golden Halo RV to level 2/3.
